I can relate to this 100%. I’ve struggled throughout my life to be a consistent writer, day in and day out. One of the most helpful resources I’ve ever heard of to combat this issue is actually Jerry Seinfield’s “Dont Break The Chain” technique. It’s worth googling for anyone (most of us) who struggle with this issue!

Everything went into boxes for later. One box I found in the closet contained 20 quality chapters of my “great American novel”.Not great literature but fun Summer reading.
Took a chance and retired early (62) to finish it. Closed out at 38 chapters, plus 4 short children’s stories and polished the songs. This is by far the best writing of my life. Now i need a publisher or an agent that knows what to do.
