And don’t forget Strawberry Fields. He navigates so well over those obtuse chords in the chorus that you don’t even notice how angular they are! One of his crowning achievements in my opinion.
Great point about the repetition of notes over moving chords. I started thinking about that and came up with a bunch more examples right away. Totally a trademark. Never thought about that.
