Nearly every song I’ve written and recorded has been from one of Tony’s assignments. Participating in the classes has made me a better songwriter, more critical of my own work, more willing to push myself to try something new.

Its pretty simple, I need to write songs for a new record and I call up Tony and sign up for one of his amazing workshops. His support and insight, and the support of like-minded artist of all levels make for a truly supportive and open place to create and grow. Im am forever grateful for these workshops.

gotta give a big shout out…Tony’s da bomb! His strength is his ability to almost undress a song down to its most basic elements…he can hear the good, bad and ugly of it…and critique in a way…why…your song just has to improve. Tony gives his students constructive and practical tools on how to make songwriting an everyday habit. He helps songwriters with writers block and shares his wisdom on how to turn a lyrical idea into a well constructed song. A highly recommendable course and an amazing instructor!

Tony’s workshops helped me get over my fear of sharing my unfinished music with others and discover my voice as a songwriter.

I recently had the pleasure of attending Tony Conniff’s workshop on GarageBand. This is an application I have used for years, but managed to continue knowing nothing about. Tony gave me a much better sense of the creative possibilities available, supplied great learning materials, and involved the whole class in hands-on exercises. As a songwriter himself, he tailored his workshop to my own needs – as another songwriter. He’s a gifted & dedicated teacher.

I attended Tonys Songwriting Day workshop and it was packed full of great learning, speakers, and song critiques. Tony always covers a lot of musical bases and genres with his examples, so it has wide range appeal.

I can’t stop returning to Tony’s classes. I arrived with zero knowledge and can’t believe how much I learn after each class and how much fun it is to learn. Tony is patient for everyone to learn at their own pace and in whatever genre of music they like. In a supportive environment, you’ll listen better, create better, and appreciate the marvels of music as never before.

Tony’s workshops offer a ‘safe’ place to beta your newest songs, providing a sanctuary of positive feedback and constructive advice toward bettering your craft. Put this on your “must do” list.

Tony’s unique blend of superb musicianship and constructive feedback allowed me to vastly improve upon my songwriting skills. I learned so much from him and the other workshop attendees. I have attended many of Tony’s workshops – songwriting and production.Tony’s feedback is always enlightening but also recognizes that each writer has their own voice and that there is no right or wrong way to write a song.

Through Tony’s classes I have written songs both musically and lyrically in styles that I never would have dared before…it has enabled me to write with much more confidence and creativity and has opened up the door to FINISHING so many song ideas.

Taking place at a studio where Tony produces records, the series is relatively inexpensive, it rocked, and I was so happy to come away with 4 new songs. A month seems like a perfect duration for a songwriting workshop.

Tony has an amazing ability to make each songwriter stronger within their own voice. He explains complicated ideas in ways that anyone, at any level, can understand. When I think of where I started, and where I am now, I am amazed. And it’s because of Tony. Plus, he’s funny!
